The Housing Authority of Douglas County, Oregon has completed and submitted its application to convert all its Low-Rent Public Housing units to Section 8 project-based vouchers. The next step is for HUD to approve the application and issue a CHAP (Commitment to enter into a Housing Assistance Payment) Award. After the CHAP is issued, HADCO must engage in conversations with HUD and provide regular updates to tenants on its progress toward closing. We will announce conversion updates on our website and periodically send notices to residents by US Mail.
