The Section 8 Housing Program is a popular program where HADCO pays a portion of the rent directly to a landlord on behalf of the participant. HADCO currently has 641 Family Choice Vouchers and 111 VASH Vouchers (for Veterans) available for Douglas County residents. There is a waitlist for this program.
HADCO is committed to providing equal opportunity housing free from discrimination and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, gender, familial status, and disability, marital status, source of income, sexual orientation including gender identity, and domestic violence victims.
HADCO expanded their affordable housing portfolio in the late 1990's and early 2000's with the addition of the Orchard Knoll, Vine Street, Forest Village, Gateway Village, Glenhaven and Blueridge Apartments. The management of these affordable housing programs is currently handled by the Douglas Multi-Family Property Management Corporation.
HADCO is committed to providing information and links to the general public about HADCO and housing assistance offerings in the local community through our resources page.
