The May 22, 2025, HADCO Board of Commissioners meeting will include a public hearing to discuss a change to HADCO’s annual plan regarding its application to convert its public housing units to project-based Section 8 assistance. The conversion was already adopted into the annual plan, but utilizing a different conversion option (Streamlined Voluntary Conversion) which is no longer available. The new conversion program, Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD)/Section 18 blend, will still convert public housing to project-based Section 8.
Public comments received before the meeting will be shared with the commissioners and public attendees will be invited to offer comments in person. After hearing comments, the Board will discuss and vote on moving forward with the annual plan change and the application for conversion. HADCO intends to submit the conversion application in early summer 2025.
The HADCO Board of Commissioners meeting occurs the fourth Thursday of each month with occasional changes due to holidays. Board of Commissioners meetings are open to the public.
