The Family Self Sufficiency Program is a self-help program administered by HADCO. This program is designed to help committed families or individuals to become free of public assistance. Families work with the FSS program coordinator in setting short and long-term goals. As participants portion rent increases due to an earned income a portion of what HADCO is no longer paying towards their rent is put into an escrow savings account. After completing the program and being off of public cash assistance for one year the monies deposited on their behalf is theirs.
